“Koi Fish are Good Luck” 12x16 framed print
This print is made with high quality 12x16" glossy photo paper. The frame used is made from plexiglass. There is my signature and personal thank you note on the back of the print.
The following painting is originally 18x24" in size and painted with acrylic paint on white canvas. It was painted during the beginning of my second year in university (Fall 2018). The meaning behind it is in Japanese culture koi fish are considered good-luck. During my first year in university I surrounded myself with images of koi-fish as I felt I needed as much luck as possible as my university grades were taking a bad hit. I began focusing my life together and began painting and studying again. I would hang pictures of Koi-fish by my door before I left to classes to remind me that luck is with me. I ended up passing and moving unto my second year in university. The beginning of my second year I painted these 3 koi-fish to remind me of the "luck" I had during my first year and that it was going to be with me throughout.
